Tough Monkeys Racing - News
Okay, while we're not racing I think we'll keep you up to date with what's happening away from the track:
05/07/11 - TC and I take on a little competitive archery. The record will show that TC got the highest score when it mattered. Humph.
05/06/11 - A spot of strawberry picking at Ticknall pick your own. Perhaps a little too early in the season.
01/06/11 - Walking along the Heritage Coast between Llangranog and Cwmtydy. This was a spectacular route cut across a breathtaking cliff pass. It was like a Welsh version of an Inca Trail.
21/05/11 - We had a quick spank up and down the Tissington Trail today. Picked up a slight injury while sitting on the back wheel of TC's bike at 20mph and didn't spot the overhanging thorn bush that she saw. There was also a splintered thorn buried in my little finger which required tweezers and some colourful language to remove.
18/05/11 - My old school buddy and mate of 22 years Guy Poyser marries Jo at Ringwood Hall in Chesterfield. A very rare glimps of me in a suit and an even rarer sight of me in a tie. Seriously, it doesn't happen often. Drink it in, bathe in it. It won't happen again for a while. Oh, and congratulations to Guy & Jo!
26/04/11 - On top of the world. Well, on top of Great Britain. TC and I ascend to the top of Ben Nevis in utterly glorious weather. Standing on top of the Ben with not a breath of wind was a fantastic feeling, only matched by the Creme Egg McFlurry we feasted on upon our return to base camp in Fort William. So, that's Ben Nevis and Snowdon chalked off. Now to go in search of Scafell Pike. Lake District, right?
24/04/11 - Happy Easter everyone!
10/04/11 - Celebrating TC's birthday in a field in Hope. Early morning in the Peak District and it's ruddy cold. There was ice on the outside of the tent. It's April!!
18/03/11 - Nurburgring co-pilot Lee marries Julie and foolishly asks me to be an Usher and to be his unofficial photographer. A great day and best wishes to the very happy couple. Enjoy the photos!
02/12/10 - When the snow shuts work and no one can get in to do their job, leave it to me to keep the company operating from the comfort of my own home. Now this is how you get things done. I really ought to work from home more often.
01/12/10 - A bit on the snowy side for a bike ride.
24/10/10 - The first trek out with the Scooby and the new Saris Bones RS bike rack. It worked brilliantly, which is fortunate since it cost an absolute fortune. Designed with nutter rally cars in mind it seems.
17/09/10 - Clinging to the top of Snowdon. The ascent started in drizzle which as we climbed turned to rain which turned to thick fog and hail. The view, I'm told, is spectacular however we could just about see each other. We earned our fish and chips when we returned to base in Llanberis.
06/09/10 - Bug Fest at Crich. Plenty of split screen campers to drool over with the one in the foreground of this shot being especially attractive.
